Fire draws three alarm response
On Tuesday, March 20, at 2353hrs the 18-04 box was transmitted for a working structure fire.

On the assignment:  E-18, E-24, L-18, R-18, T-18, T-52.  While enroute Susquehanna County communications advised 18 Chief they were receiving multiple calls on the address.

The next two due tankers and the sector RIT were requested.

E-18 marked on scene with 18 Chief establishing the Tennessee Gas Road command reporting a two story wood frame residential with total involvement on both divisions and all occupants accounted for.

The second alarm was transmitted and master streams deployed.

Due to the rural setting and small roads a tanker shuttle was required to supply the scene.

The tanker round consisted of approximately 8 miles.  With water being an issue, the third alarm was transmitted shortly after.  E-18 took side A, L-18 and E-24 handled side D with T-18 and T-36 coming in for the initial nurse water.

R-18 served as the command post.  E-52 was assigned dumpsite duties laying out approximately 500’ of LDH to the next intersection.  E-28 and E-41 established the fill site at the outlet of a nearby lake.
At the height of the incident, companies from four counties battled the fire, cold, snow and ice.
R-51-1 handled the RIT assignment while crews from HE4 and R41 assisted at the scene. R-36 covered the area from Station 18 while E-60 and T-60 relocated to Station 24.
Once again an excellent mutual aid network brought everyone home safe.  Crews remained on scene until approximately 04:00hrs.  The PSP fire Marshall was called in for the investigation.
